Cops foil man’s attempt to dispose of body

SEREMBAN: A man drove around Nilai with the body of his girlfriend in the front passenger seat looking for a place to dispose of the corpse.

However, his effort was foiled when two police patrolmen spotted him driving his Perodua Kancil in a suspicious manner in Nilai Springs at about 10pm on Satur-day. When he realised that he was being trailed, the 30-something man sped off but the car skidded after a short chase.

The policemen discovered a fully-clothed woman in the passenger seat. The man claimed that she was unconscious. Upon checking, the patrol car crew found that the woman was dead and had strangulation marks on her neck.

Negri Sembilan CID Chief ACP Mohd Zaki Masroh said the man, believed to be an Indonesian, later admitted to murdering his girlfriend following a quarrel. — Bernama
